Mantenga Lodge

Lovely place to stay. Secure parking for our motorcycles. Comfortable bed. Good, hot shower. The room was nice and good storage for everything. Nice to sit outside on the patio listening to the birds and watching monkeys! The restaurant was nice and the food good. All the staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome.

The breakfasts was amazing. The bed was comfortable and clean. A good shower. Nice layout of the room. Real plants in the room. Location was good with beautiful views from the restaurant’s terrace. Most staff were very friendly. Don’t forget to pass by the next door crafts center. The shop in the back, left side (male owner) has very good gifts and furniture.

Our vehicle broke down on a Sunday afternoon in rural Swaziland, one hour away from the lodge. Fortunately I had cellphone signal. I phoned the lodge and explained my problem. The ladies in reception were able to help and sent me the name and number of a mechanic. He organised our transfer and all our belongings to the lodge while he towed our vehicle to his workshop. Unfortunately we had only booked for one night, but the ladies at reception once again helped us out and found us accommodation not far from Matenga. They also organised transfer of our belongings there too. I was very impressed with their help and service!!

This is our second stay at Mantenga and once again it was truly unforgettable! Nestled in the serene beauty of Ezulwini Valley, the lodge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I particularly enjoyed the private balcony where I could unwind and take in the stunning scenery. The lodge’s staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. One highlight of my stay was the on-site restaurant, which served delicious meals with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The breakfast was a delightful way to start the day, and the dinner menu featured flavorful dishes made with fresh ingredients. Mantenga Lodge’s location is another plus—it’s close to local attractions such as the Mantenga Cultural Village and the Mantenga Falls. The lodge's tranquil setting, combined with its excellent service, makes it an ideal choice for both leisure and adventure seekers. The unit was so beautiful and with the patio looking through the gardens toward the pool I felt like I was completely immersed in nature. Waking up to the architecture of the room with the nature sounds outside it felt like I was tucked away in paradise. I had dinner at the restaurant. The prices were affordable and the food was delicious. The staff were incredible and made me feel like a VIP. My bed made me feel like Goldilocks, as in, it was JUST RIGHT 👌 This trip was for business but if I am ever in the area for pleasure I will most definitely be staying here.
